In my current role, I lead the performance, employee relations, talent development & acquisition functions for a small wealth management firm, managing a team of 4. I also own our culture & engagement strategy including DEI, in office and remote events, employee groups, and employee experience.

BEYOND FINANCE (Aug 2019 – sept 2023)

Talent Strategy Manager: July 2021 – August 2023
In this role, I largely served as both the strategic owner and project manager for all talent and culture people programs. I worked closely with managers to identify pain points within their departments, designing and implementing solutions that could scale with the business.

Some “greatest hits” from this role include:

  • Building & implementing our remote first onboarding & orientation for new employees. This included a 6 hour new hire orientation spread over the first week, a 90 Day performance ramp up with structured goal setting, and a Beyond Finance University style monthly rotation of key content lead by subject matter experts from across the org.
  • Building out New Manager Bootcamp for both corporate and contact center managers. This started from a basis of organizational management philosophy and goal alignment, and added on key manager competencies including results-driven management, structuring and delivering feedback, structuring one-on-ones, and understanding individual motivation.
  • Several key improvements to Performance Management practices – ultimately moving from a clunky, time consuming year end review to more flexible quarterly performance & goal check-ins – enabling a organizational habit of real time feedback.
  • Introduction & activation of an Organizational Goal Setting practice, rooted in cascading goals, reviewed on a quarterly basis
  • Implementing Qualtrics and developing pulse survey strategy that providing critical feedback while developing remote & on-site working norms

HR & Benefits Manager: July 2020 – July 2021
After a major RIF downsized our HR team by two thirds, it was “all hands on deck” mode and I had the opportunity to pivot out of TA and into a more generalist role. Most of my time here was focused on benefits administration, but I continued to support onboarding, offboarding and hiring as well as other generalist duties.

Talent Acquisition Project Manager: August 2019 – June 2020
I started my time at Beyond as a recruiter, working within literally all departments of the business. Notably, we opened a new sales center within my first 90 days of employment, where I was able to make 110 sales hires. I was quickly promoted into a PM role where I was able to focus on areas of improvement within our talent attraction & acquisition processes. In this time, I was able to implement a talent acquisition dashboard, a candidate feedback process, as well as spearhead employer branding efforts and raise our Glassdoor score by over a full point. Unfortunately, this role was quickly reshuffled after a COVID-related RIF to focus on more pressing business needs when recruiting slowed down.

GREEN THUMB INDUSTRIES (JAN 2018 – JULY 2019)

Corporate Recruiter : January 2018 – July 2019
I was the first recruiter hired to GTI, where we grew 10x in my 18 month tenure. I recruited across all business lines: retail, manufacturing, and corporate functions. I also put together a new hire buddy program, pairing new hires with more experienced mentors that would help socially onboard them into a fast paced start up.
